Driver-side window/mirror controls sunken???
So I just took my car out for the weekly spin (she's a weekend driver only ...) and something really strange happened. I hit the button to fold my mirrors in for a tight parking spot and they did. Okay great. Get out, come back after a bit of shopping, hit the button and.... nothing?
After some intense wiggling of the button it worked.. Then I noticed some other weird things. Trying to angle my side view mirrors down was nearly impossible. The window buttons felt weird. Everything feels like it sank into the panel a bit. Has anyone else experienced this?? I called my dealership right away and they didn't seem to think it was a common failure, but is there some simple way to bring it back up? |

from what you've described it sounds like the switch housing has come off of at least some of it's mountings inside the door and shifted down. Have you done any work on your drivers side door? If not, and I don't know if this is plausible or not, but could it be that someone was trying to unlock your car using a shim (or whatever those things are called)?
