Multi-shield protection package or other wheel protection warranty question

Hi, has anyone used this protection to claim on none OEM wheels? Just curious to your experience(s)?
I was told by both the dealer and called the protection company before purchasing my winter wheels that aftermarket wheels are covered up to the cost of the OEM BMW wheels.
Hence since the BMW wheels are about 400 a piece I should have no problem as the winter wheels were only 127 a piece.
Please let me know what company you have and what steps you had to go through?
Thanks

I have a tire and wheel warranty for the 135i, though through a different company. I believe I have Multishield on my Audi, and used them only once, so you have to be very careful when reading the fine print. There is usually a max per indicent, and also if you happen to, say God forbid go over a pipe or a crevace on the road such that two wheels get damaged (either on the same axle or not), the warranty company will claim this is one incident, hence apply the cap.

At the end of the day it is an insurance company you are dealing with, and they are trying to weasle their way out of any claims... But hey, if you can get them to cover 2-3 incidents in the lifespan of the policy, you have broken even.

Interesting, I will call and find out what there policy is. I called them before buying my winter wheel and tire setup to see if they woudl cover them. They said they would up to the cost of the stock wheel and tire. No problem there they winter wheel setup was cheap compared to OEM stock wheels.

My policy includes the ding protection (paintless dent repair) on top of the rim/tire protection . Somehow I misteriously had an indentation (size of your thumb) on one of the quarter panels on the Audi. I found a good repairman who charged $150, warranty company said their max is $100, so I paid $50 out of pocket. Still not bad, but when it was sold to me dealer stated: "they cover everything in full no questions asked!" I should have known better not to believe everything that a car salesman says...

So just read the fine print. Luckily not had issues with rims, but considering price at the dealer is $650, it would be a test to see if a future claim passes through or they'll claim an incident cap...
