Rear spoiler 135i
Anyone remove the rear spoiler on their 135i and not replace with another spoiler. I was going to replace with CF spoiler, but kind of like the look without the spoiler. Any thoughts or comments... My car is debadged so I don't care if people think my car is a 128i or whatever. Once they ride in and/or drive my car with the Dinan Stage 2 they will know it has "a little" Power!

personally I like the spoiler, it's a sports car, it should have sporty look instead of clean look. also with debadging, I always thing that the car comes with a name should be able to keep the name on the car, how would you like if i strip your name? so i don't debadge...it's like duh even if you remove the name we still know what car it is, what you trying to hide? nothing personal just my 2 cent.

Wow the coupe looks exceptionally better than the vert without the little tape spolier on. Although the coupes trunk does have a very nice line when compared to the vert. Good call on that.

No spoiler on my 1 for a few months now after a collision center forgot it. Kinda like it better without.
Plus, it should make it easy to put the carbon fiber performance spoiler on eventually.

I prefer the debadged and despoilered look.
Wow Fmxomar, your car looks outstanding! A solid black wheel would have been too much. And even the darker back window vs front looks perfect, too much black tint probably would look too bland vs the white. Perfectly lowered too. |

I plan to debadge and remove the stock spoiler on mine when I it is delivered.
My current 325i has been debadged since I bought it. I have debadged every car I have ever owned. I would help my Dad debadge his cars even before I could drive. The cleaner the better. Even my wife's Jeep is badgeless. I used to debadge my bicycle when I was little. The only other cosmetic change will be a shadowline grill set on my Le Mans Blue 135 with M Sport package. |

I bet working some fishing line under one side and working it across the length of the spoiler would work well and wouldn't risk damaging the decklid paint. It also wouldn't risk bending or breaking the spoiler.

Would it also help to heat up the adhesive? (heat gun or hair dryer)

its just a plastic spoiler stuck one with 3m tape. you need to use a blow dryer or heat gun and get it nice and hot, but not too much. get some thread and wrap it over its self like 5 times so it will be thick and not break. start on one side and cut through the 3m tape between the spoiler and the trunk. then have a good ole time getting all the let over adhesive off with goo gone
