135i or 335i???
I know I have been determined to get the 135i instead of the 335i for a while now, but BMW is taking huge price off till end the month and the 335i is become more compelling!!!! Some help me decide... please!!!!!

I'd consider it a lot. It is a great looking car, for not much loss in performance. Only thing I don't like about it is the price, and if it's coming down considerably then it would be right up there.
I chose the 135i because I felt like it was 'more my age'. Plus the fact that in a few years a new model will come out and this current one will decrease in value a lot more. I plan on keeping the 135i for a few years then upgrade to the new 3 if it is any good. Good luck with your choice! |

When has BMW offered you 30k off before you even start negotiating? Too bad I've just missed out on a vert with the new iDrive - the coupes left only have the old iDrive...

Why would you not buy the 335, unless you plan to mod or track the car.
Better finish, more room front and back, more gadgets etc. 135 may have a stonker of an engine and brake package but at the end of the bay it is based of the CHEAPEST BMW you can buy and I don't think you can hide this. This is my opinion only. |

I'd go the 335i every time if the price parity was closer. Best looking BMW at the moment with a few little extras and more space like someone said above. Only the dash is where IMO the 1 series is more driver oriented than the 3 series.

I prefer the 135, more of a performance car(bit quicker, better brakes, a little quicker on the track) (like the Impreza compared to Liberty etc). No doubt 335 coupe is better looking but E90 and E93 are not the best lookers.
But if prices were closer like the US it does make the decision a little harder than it was.. |

Are they trying to sell you a 2009 coupe? If so, i would say 135 no question. Next year they will be face lifting the current e92, so instantly you would have a out-of-date car, in some respects.
This is the reason I ordered a 135 instead of a 335i coupe. 1er will be newer for longer

... and fewer. Coming from someone who had four 3-series since the mid 90's, I have to say I like how the 1-series seems more exclusive.
Don't get me wrong, there are things I appreciate about the E92, though design wise, I much prefer the Sports body. Papa13 is spot on - now that E90 has been 'updated', E92's update is imminent. I too have seen much in the way of 'incentives'. In fact, those 'incentives' seems to relate to most cars on the floor with the original iDrive. Try selling an M5 with the old iDrive to those discerning buyers and in today's climate... |

If you're mainly interested in the 135i because you can't afford the 335i (and prefer it for its styling/extra *******....then this is a no-brainer. Go for the 335i.
Otherwise, stick with the 135i. |

personally, 335i's seem a bit average to me. They do look great, but they have a more "mature" look. Take that as a good or bad thing depending on what image you prefer... also, the nimbleness of the 135i, the lighter body, and exclusivity (for the time being anyway) sways my preference to the 135i

As I own a 335 I guess I'm biased.
Looks wise the 335 wins hands down (IMHO) but it is aging a little. 135 is fresher but not as flowing. Price wise the 135 makes a compelling argument, but if there is a good discount available then this is less of an issue. Performance wise both cars are very similar, I think around a track it would be a drivers race as not many of us are able to drive our cars like professionals. In terms of straight line speed there is really 2 tenths of bugger all between them. From memory the 335 has a lower CD & less restrictive exhaust so that compensates for the 200 odd kg weight difference in a lot of regards. Just my 2c worth, either car is a great drive so each for their own. |

135 is more edgy, so I prefer the look. In Oz the 335 looks bland compared the the 135's std M pack. I also found the 335 only marginally bigger inside, so wasn't worth the extra $$, however if you get a monster discount and some external goodies to spuce it up then maybe it's worth a closer look. Big thing to remember is the 135 M pack also has the tighter suspension (if that's your thing).

I dont believe they are offering $30k+ discounts on new 335i's. If they are I might consider trading up immediately*. Which dealer is this?
*although I would miss the compact size of the 135i |

Both cars are great, and I did consider 335i too, the only thing stopped me go for 335i - Just too many of them. I think there are 3 of them in my apartment carpark... Therefore I would prefer a car which is a bit more unique. (Elise was on my shopping list too but it is just too exterme)
