JB Plus installed!
So I took a sick day today and installed my JB+ and RR plenum.... I drove about 40 miles to my parents and on my way back home I started to feel the change... I was losing traction in the higher RPMs no problem... Then got next to an s550 AMG and blew him away.... the pull is awesome (and I only have it on the default setting)
I can't wait until this thing is fully adapted, the drag strip is gonna be a blast...

Yep, got mine today too. Only got to drive around for 5-10 minutes. Nothing real noticeable yet. Will wait for a couple more days of driving for it to adapt, but I'm expecting good things.
Well, it's adapted. Wow! As the OP said, the extra pull is amazing on the standard setting. My gas mileage is gonna go to hell now. Damn you BMS!! Last edited by mynew135; 02-27-2009 at 04:56 PM.. |

so you can make the same amount of power as JB3 if you turn it up all the way? interesting if so. going on a road-trip? default setting. going to the drag strip? maximum setting (and pray you don't blow the turbos).

the jb+ is just an improved SSTT no? IE it does not mess with very many parameters like fuel pressure

It is different. It goes, by level of power: JB, JB2, JB+, JB3.
But JB+ just plugs into the TMAP sensor, different from installation of all the other Juice Boxes. It takes all of a couple of minutes to install, assuming that your stock air box is already removed on the 135. If you read the DIY install on the SSTT, it is the same, but JB+ has 10 adjustable boost levels. |

Some people don't want to go messing around with the ECU... I had an SSTT before I went to JB3 for more power... except for getting the stock airbox out it was a piece of cake to install and uninstall...I can get the JB3 in and out fairly quickly now but it is still more time consuming then just getting to the Tmap sensor....

^^^ That and the JB+ is cheaper.. I got mine for 125 bucks at a special... but even if not I think it is only gonna be 300, which is cheaper than JB3 PNP...
