New Intercooler and Intake from Forge for the 135i
Forge have almost finished development of their intercooler and intake on our project 135i.
The Intake is a prototype at the moment and will be tested in the next week to see how well it works. The products will then be available exclusively from evolve from the begining of April. I will provide more details about price and specification closer to the time. Forge Intercooler Forge Carbon Intake |

Interesting. One suggestion though. You might want to create a crossover between the two intake pipes (upstream of the filters). I'm not sure it's a good idea to have one path longer than the other on this application. It looks like BMW has gone through a fair amount of trouble to keep everything the same on the inlet side of the turbos, and I'd be hesitant to mess around with that.
I think a common intake on the inlet side of the filters would make sense. Other than that, the filters look good, and fit in there pretty nicely. |

Have just had the results back from Forge.
The intake did not work well so that is on the back burner for now. I have a Simota Carbon (like the Gruppe M) which I will be testing next week. The intercooler did produce good results on a rolling road local to Forge HQ. The car has an evolve tune and BMW Performance exhaust. Pre Forge intercooler: 381bhp and 376 ft/lb Post Forge intercooler: 395.7 bhp and 400.2 lb/ft We will be adjusting the map to suit the intercooler on the car at some point later this month. If the weather is good the owner will be at Santa Pod on Sunday to see how the car performs on the strip. Another evolved 135i will also be there so it will provide a good comparison. |

The intake would benefit from a balance pipe to equal the pressure across the turbo's.
Also did you fit the Riss Racing scoops to direct/force more air in as well ?

We tested RPI scoops on a 335i. They did absolutely zilch and we have a very powerful fan capable of 100 MPH windspeeds.
