from a 2003 z4 3.0. 80k miles. open diff. good upgrade for a 2.5 if you'd like to increase your MPG

LOL. Increase the MPG at the expense of LOSING 24HP for a 2.5 manual, or 35HP for a 2.5 steptronic. You almost made it sound like a good upgrade.

Yeah you're not physically losing any power at the engine, just losing the power that's put to the ground and matters most.

And wouldn't the price to buy the differntial and the labor to install it negate any savings from getting better MPG?
