Purchased at Dealership A/ Service at Dealership B

I'm thinking of taking the car in to Dealership B for service. Will they treat my car any different just because I bought my car from the rival Dealership A?

Technically, I understand they shouldn't. But......

I don't think that the car itself would be treated differently by the techs (do they even know where it was bought?) but my guess is that the service from the SA wouldn't be as good and you may have issues getting loaner vehicles.

My local dealer says that the loaner cars are only for customers who bought their cars there. You may also have to wait longer for an appointment too.

With loaner cars, a CCA discount, easy appointments and a good relationship with the service dept., I'd need a pretty compelling reason not to use my selling dealer for service.

Thanks for the tip guys. I befriended the SA at Dealership B and he gave me his card as well as his favorite techs when I need service. They seem to be a friendlier bunch than the place of purchase.
