I just got back from my dealer and they want $1000.00 over ED invoice. Fair deal? Need your input. Thanks

I think so as long they don't try to add in any hidden profit.

(Higher MF, other fees)

BMW does not charge the dealer MACO on an ED.

So that is one mistake.

Destination is $825 not $775.

Everything else is correct.

MACO is advertising fee but is not charged to the dealer for an ED order so you don't have to pay it.

Money factor is the interest used to compute leases.

Some deals that have a low profit ($500 over invoice) the dealer will add to the base MF to make extra profit.

The thing to make sure is that whatever you agree to over invoice that there is nothing extra being added on later.

Good catch. 135i without the sport package is like a Playboy issue without the centerfold.

I was just offered $200 over invoice if that helps.

Also hbdunn2003 are you positive that MACO is excluded from ED?

BMWUSA European Delivery: Part 3
Sections: European Delivery, Sales/Marketing Mar 17th, 2008

In the previous parts of our series on the BMW European Delivery Program we introduced you to the program and its perks as well as what is included and the cost savings. So now that we have got you thinking more about the opportunity BMW is giving you with the European Delivery program we will help you out when it comes time to go to your dealer to get the process started.

You should plan to get the ball rolling on your order at least 3 months prior to the date you would like to take delivery at the Welt in Munich, Germany. This time frame is due to the fact your car is built to order and the added time for registration and other paperwork. As with any car purchase it is important to do your research on dealerships and pricing.

Some dealers will negotiate down to $1000 over Euro delivery wholesale price (invoice) and invoice pricing on options, which are the same as the US delivery prices and can be found on a variety of car pricing websites. You should also add the standard BMW destination charge to the car. There are NO additional fees; training, MACO, and advertising fees are not applicable to ED cars. Local fees for taxes, title, and license are separate, and vary by state. We have included a list of the current ED wholesale base prices for 1,3, and 5 series cars. Since the 1 is coming out of dealer allocation these numbers are not realistic but for the fall it may be more likely.

What???

Perhaps I am not understanding what we are talking about here, but there is only one price for a ED car. No add ons, no mark ups, no dealer $ whatsoever. You should not pay extra for ED, and make sure that they charge you the correct MF if you are leasing. If they want you to pay a mark up for ED it's because the dealer doesn't get any money for an ED car. You can do an ED from any dealership in the country and then make your local dealer deliver it when it gets in, just to piss them off (ok, I may be wrong about that...but it would be nice if you can) Call Korosh at Rasmussen BMW in Portland, Or and he will gladly set up an ED for you, just like he did for me, without a mark up of any kind. Check out the ED forum on Bimerfest for the correct invoice prices.

I guess he means hes trying to get the lowest price possible before they tack on the ed. if that makes sense.

This is $200 over the ED invoice and not US delivery invoice?

Are all the options at invoice?

Is it a lease and if so are they only adding the .0003 ED adder to the MF?

There are no training or Maco fees added?

There is no doc fee over $50?

If so that is a very good deal.

The $200 is over ED Invoice, all options at invoice.

Not a lease.

I will get MACO fees dropped as i did with the training fee.

The doc fee is $100.
