Edmunds Long-Term Blog wants our input...
I follow the long-term test blog on Edmunds of the 135i (the other cars too but the 135i interests me the most). They usually have an "Open Thread" asking what the readers want to hear about a certain car. Well its time for the 135i so lets get some of you all on there asking!

Thanks for seeing this.
Yes, definitely, the 1Addicts should all start posting to this blog. Let's give them as much good news as we can. I only have 2500 miles, and no problems so far, so not sure how much I can offer, but I will comment.

My input? Get rid of the one idiot that's always ranting about stupid little things in the interior that make no differnce at all! You get better quality journalism readin these forums most of the time (and that's not really saying a lot)!

I cannot really blame him because he has to find SOMETHING to write about. Since everyone else has already sung the praises he chooses to nit-pick and it might be relative to some of the readers. I like that he puts a bit of negativity in there...keeps me from becoming a mindless fanboy

^^^Well regardless of what you guys think of ONE of the journalists writes there are at least 5-6 other journalists that also drive the car and make interesting less trivial blog posts...so if you have something contructive to add to that open thread then please do so.

Doesn't matter if they love our car or not......they should be reviewing sewing machines, not automobiles.

Well I want them to review EVERYTHING they can get their hands on so I can use the 20 something odd dollars I paid to look at their good reviews of everything from tires to lightbulbs.....LOL...I am serious!

Unfortunately, I do have to agree a bit about the reviews of the interior of the 1. I really do think that too many people nitpick about it. I really don't even understand what they are complaining about. I drove the E90 325, and just two weeks ago I got my first drive in the E92 M3, and my "space" in the interior feels the same. The 1 has a "tiny bit" of less room on the passenger seat, so what. It has 2 inches less room in back than the 335ci and a bigger trunk on the 1vert when the respective tops are down.
Adrean8j, I do agree with you, that there should be reviews of everything, and I do love TONS of information. But the constant nitpicking of the 1 interior by critics is getting droll. I hope that you are correct that we can read 5-6 more critics saying good things to each 1 critic that nitpicks. Plus, having thorough reviews, I agree again. But I do admit that while I am not a "mindless fanboy", I am a 1Addict. I will even admit that while I loved the acceleration of the M3, I still feel happier in my 1. Call it a fault of mine, but it's my humble opinion. Of course, my 1 is a vert, that kinda lends to my preference as well. I live in Florida, what can I say. I put up my quick thoughts in Edmunds, and I put the 1Addicts after my name, hopefully it might bring more 1er's to this forum.

I jumped on the bandwagon. It's an awesome car and deserves some good press. On another note, after driving on solid performing winter tires, I'm almost not looking forward to going back to those jittery run-flats - even if they are wider.

Edmunds seems to love the 135 except some comments on the styling. You should see all the stuff they complain about the STI.
I like their LTT give you a nice overview, lots of opinions and time to actually "live" with the car. |

Interior was my big turn to 1. I am coming from MB world with very rich good quality interiors. When I saw 3ser I was really disappointed, very bland, not any closer to a luxury car interior. So when I checked 1ser, I found interior much better, better look, better ergonomics. It isn’t Jaguar’s interior yet, but for the price… can you expect better?
