Sorry! More questions...
As I have 4 months to wait and it's driving me crazy, I thought I'd do as much reading as I could in the meantime about these cars. However, I've read some conflicting info so I was wondering if a member/s could clear the following up for me once and for all... I'll call it the TRUE/FALSE quiz.
So, here goes: TRUE or FALSE? (These questions all apply to the 135i) 1. The brakes are Brembos. 2. The 261 M wheels are made by BBS. 3. The manual transmission is the same as the M3's. 4. Paint is BASF Glasurit and only some repair shops use this. Thanks in advance! |

1. True - but not the Brembo BBK and no racing pads for them
2. No idea - but it's not as light as most BBS 3. No idea - but it shifts as well as the M3 4. You really should have BMW Body Shop to do the repairs anyway - so I guess it doesn't really matter?

1. True
2. I am still researching this one.... 3. Very similar but not exactly the same different part numbers as well: M3 135i 4. BMW does use Glasurit BASF paint and clearcoat on their vehicles. It is one of the best paints out there for vehicles according to my quick research. Some paint shops are....supported by one company or another and may not have a "rival" company's paint available. BASF vs. Dupont for example....You will have to inquire at the paint shop of your choice about what brand they use if you need to get something painted on your bimmer and then make the decision if you want them to use something other than Glasurit. |
