What's it like from the back seats?
Wanting those extra seats eliminated many a sports car from my list. I often have three other people in my coupe and aside from the inconvenience of moving the seats and praying no one scuffs anything while climbing in it's been well worth it. No one complains and it's more fun to have three people complementing the car instead of one.
That being said, I've never been in the back and despite the obligatory reviewers who say the back seats are for nothing more than groceries and carseats I'm wondering if anyone here has ever given up their keys and gone for a ride in the back? |

Yea I've ridden in the back when I let my friend and dad drive it. It's actually not that bad - it's about on par with a mini cooper's back seats. Granted I'm pretty short, so I can imagine taller people having problems. Just try and make sure who ever is getting in the back isn't more taller than 6 ft and more than 200 lbs =)

On one of my test drives I had the SA drive me around for a little to see what it was like in the back. I am 5'9" and I was surprised how much room there was in the back seat. I mean it wasn't like sitting in a sedan by any means, but there was enough room in the foot wells where I didn't feel claustrophobic.

I cant believe that from the title of this thread, the first thing that came to my mind was NOT a mother joke. I must be getting old. It sneaks up on you I guess...

the size of the 1 is great for me, I am only 5'4" so there is plenty of room in the back seat behind me. I tried sitting in the back with my driver seat in my position and it was quite spacious

Myself (driver: 5'8" @ 140lbs), my dad (shotgun; 6'4"@280lbs), my sister (behind my dad; 5'4"@150lbs), and my GF (behind me; 5'3@110lbs) all rode comfortably for over 3 hours straight.

I'm 179 cm, I sat in the car in the showroom and I adjusted the front seat to my postion and then sat at the back and it was really comfy. Thats why I don't understand why so many reviews complain about the back seats

Yeah, sure... Had a midget driving up front with a booster seat, and I had no problem in the back at all. After that, it seems to me the car has tremendous back seat room... WTF is wrong with all those critics that don't know what they're talking about?

The normal mini cooper has barely enough backseat legroom to handle most small children, and adult amputees.

Out Yorkie is just fine, and likes the back seat, but our 120 pound Cane Corso will only ride in the Front! I put on old WW2 Tanker Helmet, glasses, and a scarf on him and he is just fine.

I'm 5'7" weighing in at 160lbs and i fit in the back ok. I say if your taller than 5'8"/5'9"+ and over 200lbs then there might be a problem. I think it's made for kids, a petite wife and/or pets. My 1974 2oo2 almost has the same problem when people are sitting back there...but then again the rear seat is bench seating for 2.

Ohh yeah. I had that experience once in mine. The seats are a bit hard in the vert tho. But they as far legroom. It isnt really a concern like most people say it is. The rear seats in my friends Mustang are smaller.
