How Long Before Service Indicator...

How long before the service indicator comes on can you take the car into the dealer for service? My car is saying I am 1800 miles away before inspection I. If take it in now, will they service it, or will they tell me to wait until the inspection light comes on?

My dealer said within 300 miles, and that held true with them. I don't know if that's a dealer-by-dealer policy or BMWNA policy.

just went through this today. dealer say within 50 miles.

Had it done with 1500 miles left on the clock. Just tell the dealer you're going on a long trip and want to get it done now instead of getting it done at some random dealer half way across the country.

I actually go to Sunbelt Motors in Meridian. Have had great experiences. When you move to Hattiesburg/Oak Grove, it will be the same distance.
