Anniversary

A year and four days + 19,400 miles = One Happy Driver. Of my five BMWs, dating back to 1968, the 135i is far and away the best, weight notwithstanding. Only mod is Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs in 225/40, 255/35, terrific tires that greatly improve both ride and handling.

Congratulations!

My car's official birthday is tomorrow. I think I'll buy her some new shoes to celebrate.

Mine was back on 03/29 - this is the first car I've owned where I'm not sick of it after a year...

1 year and month and I agree! I still enjoy this car as the day I first drove it.

Any problems, like fuel pump or falling 3rd brake light? Good to hear that the pump breaks not on every car.

So far

No problems at all so far. The loud sound you hear is me knocking wood.

I have a 1 week left also (11K) and still very happy. How long did you wait after ordering? Mine was about 10 months.

Did you fit those tires on the stock rims?

gnpower, build date was early February and car was delivered in Cincinnati the first week of April. When I placed my order in mid January, I was told not to expect a build date before March, but I got lucky and was pushed forward.

The plus-one tires are on the stock rims, a tight fit. I'm sure 8" front rims and 8 1/2" rears would make fitting tires easier and probably result in even more stability, but I'm not at all unhappy as is. There are lots and lots of suggested combos on the Wheels and Tires Forum.

Happy Anniversary. 20K miles - you've been enjoying your car a lot! It's easy to do with a car that is such a blast to drive.

Good to know that no problems. Indeed, the car looks very solid for me, I can't imagine that something can break ever. Interesting that after 3K miles I noticed that car became much more responsive, seems it broke in.
