Another AA pulley installed...
and I have to tell you, my M pulls harder now for sure. Frankly I was a little skeptical but I am now a believer; surprising how something that small can actually make a difference.
Hopefully long term I have no issues with the pulley, I have had it for only a few hours and everything seems to be functioning exactly the same as before. If you are on the fence on doing this I would highly recommend you go for it. Props to Jeff at Delta V motorsports here in Richmond VA, cool dude and he knows his stuff Thanks to Omar at AA, you guys rock! |

This isn't a new invention you need to wait to see the ill effects from. If a pulley company is NEW and claiming double the WHP gain from their pulley than all the well known companies... well then ...THAT pulley , I would avoid .

long term affects? Less stress on the engine and other moving parts to make the same amount of power just transferring more to the ground, yeah that will be terrible for the car....?

I want to see the affects on our cars specifically. I do realize that pulleys been around for a bit, but I've also read how they've had some negative effects in the past.

You make it sound like there's absolutely no negatives to a pulley.

There is ONE negative that someone posted above... Your battery dieing quicker if you do a lot of short trips. I personally wouldnt call that negative considering all the positives posted.

Battery wouldn't die rapidly and it will still maintain a charge ideal for running your car
You're thinking alternator driven pulleys there are very few negatives on a pulley system like this. Those systems of the past messed with Waterpump Pulley and Alternator and thats where things go sour. It's not as scary as you may think, car will run the same |

The M3 crank pulley does not have a dampener.

so with a VERY limited knowledge about S65 design, pulley has no downside on our cars?

I have one and I have not noticed any electrical issues, or issues with heating, steering, etc....
I'd say no downside. Maybe if you have an aftermarket 2000 watt stereo. LOL |

The only downside really is that you have to consider what happens if you consistently idle your engine: Accessories will spin more slowly, so they may be less effective (again, just at idle).
And underdrive pulleys have been around forever. I had one on my '83 Mustang back in the '80s, with no ill effects. |
