Told a girl i was maybe gonna get the 135i S.
Her reaction sounded as if....it was of disgust.
"why don't you get the new M or something?" in my mind...the M3 is a beautiful car...but....it is friggin heavy. on top of that...she doesn't know how to drive stick...and drives a 335.. Rant...off

How old is the girl in question?
When it comes to cars, there are very few women who's opinion I value (I'm single...if you're married and want to stay that way, there's at least one who's opinion you BETTER value). None of them are under 25 years old, and even then it's taken with a grain of salt. The vast majority of women don't know a damn thing about cars other than the emblem on the trunk and aproximately how much it cost because of it. Maybe 5-10% know what they read in magazines, which is better than the other ones, but still not good, and then there's probably 1-2% that actually have a good understanding of what performance cars are about. In this case, tell her you liked the M before, but you've ruled it out now because you don't want to be associated with a bitch like her! |

I'd just tell her sure, you paying for it?
The M is $20k more the M3 is $30k more, at least here in Canada...I really don't get compairing them though they aren't the same class. |

Tell her you dont feel like paying for 14mpg on premium fuel. Thats what a lot of my M3 buddies are averaging.

LOL get the new M or something.. next time you should tell her why dont you get a brain or something.. people buy things for reasons and if someone is looking at a 135i.. obviously there are reasons why they won't go with the M3 or any M car.. price.. size.. etc..

I'm averaging 16mpg on my 1. Maybe I should have just gotten an M3.

Based on a few other threads, quite a few people average 16-18. Most of my driving is in the city. Lots of stop and go. I think I reset it once, but that was way back when I first got the car. I should probably try resetting it again.

Probably the same way I do....short commute. I live less than 5 miles from work, and go out for lunch on most days, which is about 3 miles from work. The car never warms up so it doesn't go into closed loop, and the mileage sucks. The upside is, that even averaging 16MPG, I only fill up twice a month. |
