Crazy idea with bondo. ::Hides::
I know this sounds a lil' crazy, a lil' weird, but that's me.
I love the 135i in just about every category except the doors. So what my idea was, fill in those recesses in the doors and smooth out the body. Make it straight and precise like the old M3 was. I think it would look good. Maybe someone with money can do it?! Hey, if they can turn a 335 into the widebody 'green machine' (remember that car sponsored by Mach III and Volk?) then why not try this? I wonder what it would look like. Again I am not trying to start sh1t, just wondering what a project like this would look like and maybe perhaps, someone will do it with good results. |

Not too far fetched......I've often wondered how that line at the bottom of the door would look if it were in a straight, downward slant instead of the "sow's belly" look.

I guess I'm the only one that likes the curve =(
The only thing I'd want to change is the headlights... if only some good eyelids were widely available.

However, that's not what this thread is about and I am curious to see either a photoshop or someone crazy enough to actually go ahead and do this. |

I hope you are being sarcastic, lol.
Or why would anyone ever buy a mod for the 135i whether it be cosmetic or performance. JB3, Dinan, Procede, exhaust, intake, etc... "Why mess with perfection?" does not apply to the 1 series, it likes to be modded in every way. |

It is a distinctive look that will never be imitated or copied. Love it for what it is. I seen a Sparkling Cashmere Silver 1 series downtown Vancouver over the weekend in the sunlight. It was amazing, and the car look like it had been scuplted out of a diamond. The doors looked fabulous. I wouldn't change a thing - anyone who would want to fill the doors in with Bondo needs therapy.

meh, all the old school bimmer owners like their cars plain jains flat as a board on the sides etc... I hated bmws until I saw the 135i.
Honestly I like the 335i coupe, and the 135i, and I think the rest of the bmws are blase. About the only things I'd do to change appearance of my 135 woudl be simple cosmetics... wheels |

whoever would use bondo to fill that much is just plain dumb... get some sheet metal and fix it proper... I also think the curves probably add some rigidity to the doors specifically but probably also the entire car..
