It was 31 degrees out. With a perfect launch and those conditions, I could see it....others have been known to put down a 12.9-13.1 without optimal conditions, so a 12.7 isn't that far out of a thought.

well there is people on this board that said the car couldn't run a 13 flat, i said high 12's were possible and maybe mid 12's without stock tires. here is a guy that did mid high 12 on stock everything. found it interesting.

The 31 degree outside temperature listed will help the car make more power to help raise the trap speed, but when it gets that cold you're also fighting slicker tracks with less temperature in them, and subsequently less grip as well. More Power + Less Grip usually equals worse times, however once in a blue moon you'll get lucky. This may be one of those blue moons.
Likely perfect conditions and not stock tires for sure. I'd say low 13s would be considered average, with a fluke pass in the high 12s like this one. Doing high 12s every pass without going to a sticky tire will likely be tough without some extra ponies. |

I think with the proper launch technique and traction inherent at particular tracks, high 12's are possible, and not just flukes...

12.9 maybe when lucky
12.7 and the tracks downhill or someone is fibbing. :/ 1.8 is not that great of a 60 foot to pull that time.

u have to be pretty hard on the car to get that kinda of time.... on the other hand with a 4.1final, software and intake we should be in the MID 12s which is pretty good

I agree mid to high 12s are possible with some minor mods ,but straight out of the box with OEM equipment and tires, not buying it's easily repeatable. |

Considering a bunch of E46 M3's have hit stock high-12's, I don't see why it was ever a point of contention. Also, this is not the first stock 12 sec timeslip for this car.
For owners of the car, a lot of you guys are real underappreciators (sic)! I could see it if Gayman S owners were on about it.

32 degrees out. (confirmed)
Anyone know the weight of the driver? Amount of fuel in the car? Age of the tires? Condition of the track? We're debating .3 seconds here people. Those variables above can easily account for that variance. |
