http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp from the description it looks like something that would obtain to what your saying I am not sure how effective it is and I think they can still get the speed reading it just takes longer for the laser to read it, if you have a radar its probably the most effective im assuming I am not 100% positive.

Laser Jammers, but don't get caught with one in California. I wanted one of these as well but its a federal crime if you get busted with one, some states do allow these.

Just remember that you have as much as a 10% error in your speedometer. So if it makes you feel better, just drive an indicated 80 and you'll only be doing an actual 72. I passed a motorcycle CHP today doing just that and he didn't even look up.
I haven't seen any proof that any of the laser jammers actually work if the officer is correctly using his laser gun, and laser warnings really only tell you you're about to get a ticket. I use a V1, pay attention to drivers ahead of me hitting their brakes and don't speed heavily in situations where I'm the only car between groups. As already stated, laser jammers in California aren't a very good idea. |

There's no federal law against Laser jammers, but some states have laws against them. RADAR jammers are a federal offense though. |

http://www.laserveil.com/beltronics/...ver/-Exclusive TotalShield technology makes this top of the line detector invisible to radar detector detectors. And if the best in class detection wasn't enough, we also include premium accessories: hard shell metal case, direct wire SmartPlug, coiled SmartPlug, 12 volt speaker, and quick release windshield mount, and dont forget--360 degree protection. This is by far the best detector for the professional driver.
Kind of expensive but works well. VA it is illegal to have a radar detector. But great reviews and most people I know have this one. |

Information above is correct. Be careful of the Jammers. They work, but if you get caught, it will be hell. At a minimum, they will tag you in their system and then will pull you over for EVERYTHING ELSE under the sun. At a maximum, it is illegal and they will seize it and possibly even your car. All depends on the state, and how the troopers interpret the law.
As for the detectors, it is always a good idea to have one, and of at least medium quality. However, if you like to drive above 100 all the time, then hands-down spend the money and get one of the top-of-the-line detectors. Spend the $300-$500 and do it right. Of course, so long as you are not in one of the 4 states that ban the detectors. In CT, they used to be able to seize your vehicle if you had it built in, but that was a while back in time, not sure about it now. Bottom line: do your homework, research the best detector, and be wary of getting a jammer as it might be more of a headache than a help. Just the simple point of the officer's device saying you are doing 500mph (which is what the jammer does, it decreases response time so it interprets as "impossible speed") will tip him off and he will pull you over just to screw with you.

Whatever happened to responsible driving? Everyone speeds, but if you're doing it so flagrantly and/or often enough to even consider risking getting in huge trouble for having a jamming device, then maybe it's better to consider changing your driving habits.
Ah, I don't mean to come off as rude or anything, but I don't think it's worth the risk. Get a decent radar detector, don't screw yourself over with an illegal jammer, and accept the (diminished) risk of getting a ticket.
