need help, getting frustrated with engine problems.
i ordered my car in June 08 and got dfelivery in the end of july and it was nothing but big smiles and joy driving her around. about a month ago and 7000 miles on the clock the oil light comes on so i take it to the dealer and they informed me that it needs about a court of oil and no biggie sionce those motors consume a court every 7 or 8000 miles or so. ok so we put the court on and head on my way. after about a week from that i noticed that the car starts rough in the moring .. not smooth at all. but once it warms up its all good. so one week i noticed it was taking some cranking in the morning to get it to fire up and when it fires up the RPMs are all over the place.. between 900 and 1700 RPMsand then it settles at 600RPM. so i took it in and told my service adviser that something is really fucked up with the car and he said no problem here is a loaner(08535i with every posible option) so i keep the laoner for about 3 weeks as the dealer tride fixing my car. the excuse was that the car wasnt throwing any codes and they couldnt get permission from NJ to work on it. finally they got permission to change the injectors on the car and the called me after 15 days to come get her she is all ready.. excited i go bring my baby home. i didnt get to dri ve her hard since it was rush hour. then next moring i started up( really really rough start, whole car shacking) and i get this yellow engine light on the dash over the clock and date.and on my Idrive screan it says. engine malfunction, reduced power. frustrated i drove it back to the dealer. on the drive back i get this power surges either bogs down or pulls like a train. they gave me a loaner again and they are still working on the car since thursday..
EDIT: the car is completely stock.. nothing done to it. what should i do? is that problem big enough to start a fuz with the dealer? if yes, what are my options? please help as im really frustrated.. i used to love my car but now i kinda hate it. thanks in advance Ash |

They're not going to replace the fuel pump until it actually dies. I complained about it when I started noticing problems but they said it's fine. A month later it died. Then they said it's a common problem and they don't know which ones to replace until it actually dies. Argg!
But your problem does sound like a fuel pump issue.
