JB3 ***1.3*** Update Status

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update on the progress of 1.3 The beta testing has gone extremely well and we have had so much positive feedback [Thanks to all]. I have been told that 1.3 8D4 will be finalized at the end of the week

There are many new features on the table but at some point 1.3 needs to be released so any new features will be included in 1.4

The latest 8D4 represents an awesome tune and great upgrade over 1.22!

For updates, ideally we'd like everyone to get or have access to a burner. It's cheaper and easier for everyone.

As an alternative, you may mail a spare chip to us and we will burn it with 1.3 and mail it back. They are light so a stamp should do. We will pay the return postage. To take advantage of that ship to our office:

US and INternational Customers can send their chips here

Am I correct to assume that when I get the burner I will also get instructions on how to get the programming updates?

Yep, I burned the latest and greatest and it's definitely a step above the previous version (I had 1.1).

No sorry.. Have to ask for it.

Like the post says you have 3 options on how to go about it. I for one would recommend the chip burner as Terry is constantly working on the software so there will be revisions every few months.

Just got mine and installed it today, running 93 octane on Map4. Wow, what a change. I actually scared myself rolling onto the throttle in 2nd gear. It was neck snapping acceleration unlike anything I've experienced before. And the car is SO much more driveable. I think the car maintains boost longer after you let up off the throttle, during over run, which DRAMATICALLY increases response and reduces the peaky acceleration of the previous version. Its very much like the stock tune, but manic.
