They are, they've gone through 5 different revisions (including scrapping 1 version and starting over from scratch) and are simply taking their time and getting all bases covered instead of rushing a kit to market.

We're told about 6-8 weeks at this time.

Tell me about it, however I have full faith in RE will deliver a quality product when finally released.

Macht Schnell will have their own S65 pulley kit soon as well.

Understandable. Are they just late to the game or are they really taking their time? I can't imagine exhaust systems being that overly complicated.

i'll say this...i had their e46 M3 unit...El Diablo, and they were pretty late to market with that...but it was made right. People wanted a Ti sound with no drone...and they came through. It was a well made unit with a fantastic tone. I'm trying to wait on the new unit for the e92. 8 weeks will fly by, hopefully thats accurate.

Not late to the game at all, they showed one of their prototypes back in June 08.

Simply moving along with the project as time permits. Good things come to those who wait.

I don't post that much, but do read the feedback on the forums here. Since we *JUST* signed on as a M3Post sponsor, I can FINALLY answer some of these product questions, without guilt.

I'm sorry, but our exhaust has been delayed again. I don't want to divulge much, but like our E46 M3 Diablo, we did not hurry to get it to market. We want to make sure we have the right product for us and our customer base. This means building and scrapping numerous samples and prototypes (some people have seen and heard) and some never made it past more than just samples.

One thing which Rogue Engineering prides itself is its product development. From simple things like wheel spacers to more complex items such as an exhaust system, like you, we are enthusiasts FIRST. We like things to work, feel, and sound the way WE would expect them to be. Sometimes, this means making samples and prototypes that never make it to production.

I think it's safe to say, if the marketplace didn't see an exhaust product from us for another 3-6 months, nobody would really would lose any sleep. With the incredible amount of choices out there, I don't see any one particular brand running away with all of the customers. We personally sell and install Eisenmann and Meistershaft at our shop for the E9X M3s, and will continue to do so now and in our new facility. When we have our exhaust ready, we will be proud to offer it alongside the quality systems we already offer.

On the last note about our exhaust, we are STILL working on it. I was working on it today, as a matter of fact, between other E9X M3 products. I cannot promise you release dates or sound clips, but what I can promise is something that is unique to the market and something you would expect from the "out of the box" thinking at Rogue Engineering. That's it on the exhaust for the moment, because until we have a something that FITS the way we want, looks the way we want, and sounds the way we want, we will continue to work on it. MAYBE we will tease with a picture in the future, but we really dislike doing so because it builds up hope prematurely from customers and dealers regarding a release date.

Our DCT pulley kits are nearly ready, as we have one more part to anodize before release. Final machining is being completed next week with anodizing only taking a few days. We are excited to offer this updated kit, for all 08 DCT owners as well as all 09 M3 owners (6-sp man and DCT alike).

Any other questions, reply here, or just call us at the shop.

will the e9x m3 muffler also be a copy of the Dixis muffler? or perhaps you will choose another company's design?

Was the old El Diablo system made of SS and sounded like a TI system? If so, will the new one be the same?

the old el diablo did not sound anything like a titanium system. its impossible for that to be the case. Different metals make will amplify noise differently.

also, realize, the midpipes are a different metal than the aftermarket muffler sound. If you run different midpipes and a rogue muffler, each set up will sound different. That is unless you run stock midpipes and a rogue muffler - then people's set ups will all sound the same.

Every exhaust component will alter sound. Sadly nothing will sound like titanium, except titanium.

Sorry PKumar...but i beg to differ. They set out to make El Diablo sound like the Meistershaft Ti...and they came very close (No drone though). I owned them both back to back. No...it wasn't the same...but for an SS muffler it was as close to a Ti sound as you could get.

Thats cool Chris. That is what message boards are about right!

Well, I knew someone that had a Rogue El Diablo and moved to a Eisenhaus Titanium. Both of them had VERY different sounds. The Rogue was a bit crisper in bite, where as the Eisenhaus was more of a deeper howl.

The RE sounded nothing like a Titanium muffler...trust me, I have one of the best Titanium e46 muffler that they make, the Dixis - conservative in sound, not a roar, but a howl, and the best craftsmanship - not having them mass produced in some sweat shop in Taiwan.

SS can not sound like Titanium. If you think so, then, its time to look into a hearing aid.

The Rogue system had plenty of drone if you ran muffler alone, even w/their rasp pipe - which also had issues of cracking when my close friend had it. Sadly, drone is a universal flaw, as no muffler, aside from OEM, has no drone.

Its funny how they became sponsors on m3post and seem to be influencing the crowd here. I am not sure they are or have been sponsors on the e46 board, just because a lot of their products have been debunked.
