BMW Performance Accent Strips

These are vinyl and can be bought from any BMW dealer for $AU 240
They do look quite good on the white Performance Parts specced BMW in the promotion video

what do ppl think about putting them on as a standalone visual enhancement?

cheers

Aside from the 20whp that decals add, I don't much like them.

I kinda like the way they look from the side view. However, I don't like the way they look when viewing the car from a dead-on front view.

I'd put them on if i had the coupe

Not at AUD240 though... That a RIP OFF..

Rather speak to your local sign company to make some replica vinyl up for you.Would be something more in the region of 50 AUD

I put them on my AW, took them off the next day. They might look good on Black or SGM, but on white they contrast too much.

I have them on my 128. I like them. The only thing I'd chance is make them less dynamic and just darker. In bright light (sunlight), depending on the angle, they look clearer. In some angles you can't even tell they are there. When its overcast, in the shade or just the right angle in sunlight, they look darker.

I´d prefer the "Tii" stripes.

I´m considering to get the Tii striping on my car. My car is lemans blue, but have the striping flat black, i think that would look rather cool. And since it´s black on blue it would not really "scream".
What do you guys think?

Thanks for the pics guys, I agree with all the comments above, the stipe is completely unnecessary and utterly overpriced but does add uniqueness and a certain sporting element to the character of the car.
that it looks different from different angles is probably more of a bonus

Any tips on putting them on properly? no instructions from BMW and the local vinyl place asks me to pay $100 for something i think i can do myself. do i need a heat gun? or surface preparation anything specific?

Get a small spray mister bottle, fill with water and add a drop of diswashing soap. Mist the area you are working on and position the stripe. Take a towel and lightly squeeze out some of the moisture. Now take a squeegey (sp?) and slide it down the stripe to get out the rest of the moisture and ait bubbles. If you have not done this before you will likely mess up the stripe. Also trimming the ends at the panel gaps is a pain.

Although my favorite is the Tii look, I was scrolling down to type that I don't like the performance stripes, but then, after seeing all of the pics I really do like them on the AW.
