How do you know if a shop actually change your oil?

So I had a respectable Mini/Bimmer shop do my pre maintenance schedule oil change.

Since we do not have a dipstick, how on earth can we check if we have clean new oil?

By the way me change costed 128.00 out the door.

thoughts?

$128! Sorry to hear that, you got a bad deal. Next time go to you local BMW dealer and buy 7 quarts of the BMW performance oil and a OEM oil filter. Granted I was able to use a military discount, but I was able to get 7 qts of oil and the filter for a little over $50. Then take your oil and filter to any Mom and pop oil change shop and since you're bringing your own stuff, anything over $20 is a rip off. Just got my oil changed today for $16 and I stood there and watched the guy do it.
