Question AA X-Pipe & Lowering

I had the AA X-Pipe installed about 2 months ago (at an m3forum.net recommended installer in NJ). My car was also just lowered with the H&R springs. Anyway, right after the x-pipe is installed, I pull into a parking lot and something scraped real bad... it was my first time at this specific place, so I figured it was because of the H&R springs. Over the course of the next couple of months I was scraping at a few different places that I never did before. Finally I look under the car, and it looks like they installed it wrong and the x-pipe bend is hanging down below the undercarriage of the car. That can't be right. Can anyone suggest a great shop in NJ near Jersey City to have this looked at and hopefully fixed? I also have the BMW Performance Steering wheel I need installed (is it best to just go to the dealer for this?). Your help is appreciated.

BTW - AA X-Pipe(no cats) and Eisenmann Race sound INSANE.

Are any of the clamps positioned improperly? I know the front ones for the x-pipe have long threads that can interfere with clearance if they are not turned upwards to get the threads out of the way.

i experienced the same thing with my AA X pipe with HFC. For the AA HFC's, as they are round and not oval shaped like the stock ones, they stick out lower. that was the area that i scrapped a little. and after that, i just had to be very cautious, especially when parking. i too have H&R springs by the way. haha.

I have Makot's x-pipe, and it has not scraped on anything yet. Cross my fingers. I am also on H&R springs. I have even gone over some big speed bumps.

Interesting,

I have the Encore Innovation X-pipe sitting in my post office waiting for me to get back from my deployment in September. I plan on installing the H&R springs too. Does anyone know if this might be a problem with ground clearance with EI x-pipe/H&R springs??

Why do you say that? Since it's a new car I don't have to get it inspected till May of 2012...

The Encore pipes are in the same boat. With the x-pipes that use round cats in the position by the headers, this will be the case. The stock cats are not round but flat, so they have more ground clearance. Just be careful, or run with no cats.
