Rogue/AA pulley review

Looking for a link to any threads related to the review of the Rogue Engineering or Active Autowerks pulley sets, or some feedback on this thread.

Sorry, I searched around but didn't find much.

I'm primarily concerned with changes to stock accessory performance (a/c, power steering, etc.) and/or other problems.

For those of you who have installed -- would you recommend it or not? I don't particularly like the idea of underdrive pulleys, but if I don't hear any horror stories and get some good feedback I will probably try it out.

No negatives here; in fact, you'd be missing out if you don't do one. I am pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference these pullies make. See here:

Pulleys are a solid upgrade if you are looking to free up power in the car. I recommend it to go along with an exhaust and ECU upgrade.

I'm having the RE installed this week (hopefully)... just waiting for it to arrive at EAS. I did a bit of reading at all the posts and vendor sites and decided to go with the RE. But, my question is on the order of installation... does it make a difference? meaning..is it better to the pulley, then the flash or exhaust, etc. Will a flashed ECU continue to adjust as more mods are done?

Doesn't really matter much what order you go in. If I were you, I'd get a custom tune done once you've installed all your parts. Doing it that way will ensure a perfect running engine and a safe tune.

6/08+ & DCT RE pulleys arrived last Thursday - both are now in stock, give me a call to schedule an appointment and get your isntalled pronto.

You bring up a very good point on tuning. We have some news on software coming shortly.

I wish I still lived in SoCal. I wonder where the nearest tuner is that I would even let TOUCH my car, let alone install parts. Salt Lake? Portland?

Tom,
My car is at Crevier tomorrow morning for oil change. I'll give you a call while I wait to check for an install appointment. I think a custom flash will be best once I finish my mods (probably just an exhaust after this). I just don't think it makes much sense with making mods and going with a canned flash and not get everything out of the mods. But... I also don't want to sell a limb for a custom tune. I look forward to what the news will be from you on this. At the end of the day, its a 'value' decision for me.
