First gen RS4 or second gen (B8)? I don't think you have a chance if i was the second gen if the driver knew how to drive! Not talking straight line of course as JB3 cars are very quick. But the handling of RS4 is in the league of the M3, not a unmodded 135i. Good that you had fun though!

And going up Mount Ousley Wayne, isnt like a race track...very steep incline with gentle sweeping corners for about 3km's..

Yup, that is the B7/8 RS4. Ok fast sweeping corners probably means less advantage to the Audi but it doesn't change what I said above. They are freaking quick cars.

RS4 has no advantage on the twisties. Fun car though, if not a bit bland to the eye.

No advantage on the twisties? How do you justify that? I would say that is the strength of the RS4 especially the tighter twisties. Ie. better traction out of the corners, better composure in change of direction.

I think Breville is talking about the "twisties" going up the mountain..they are not tight nor will you loose traction..

Lol. But that was my whole point. If the driver of the RS4 is as good as you, he would have driven away from you!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun Joe! That's a nice stretch of road to exercise the hill climbing prowess of the 135i. I never get to 'challenge' nice cars on the road very much down here, heaps of old utes and clapped out Falcodores that's all.

Its a great uphill climb..There has also been a lot of road resurfacing going through national park, and what a difference it makes to your car sticking literrally to the road..

It was that good that we (my mate in his R32) drove the sea cliff bridge road through to Scarborough Pub had brekky, then did the national park drive again detouring down the beach access roads along the route..
