Lightning in the rain is fun. There will be a 3 day NASA event there on the Oct 31 that I'm planning to make.

You can activate it via iDrive. Car Data and then Stopwatch. Or just say Stopwatch.

Trouble is, there is no lap function...
It would be cool if someone to crack the firmware in iDrive.

I can't see getting the BMW steering wheel for said purpose.
Moreover, nobody is supposed to be doing any timing at a DE anyway.

PS2s in the rain are insane.

Not that I would ever time myself at a HPDE, but it'd be cool if the timer could be programmed to memorize lap times when ever i get within 100 feet of a user programmable waypoint on the GPS. BMW are you listening? Oh, can you make make that feature retrofit to all E92 M3s as well?
