Front Lip Design and ACS pic request
Hi everyone,
Ive found a local guy who makes CF parts and im looking at getting him to make me something. For the front i was thinking maybe the ACS lip, like below. Minus all the other crap on the car. But im trying to find some pics of just the 2 peices to get a better idea of how we can make them. OR if we should go with a different design. If anyone has seen anything or has a good idea post it up. For the rear ive got something special in mind, just have to see how much it will cost.

It should take him about a week to think it over and get back to me a quote to see if its worth it.
He will be doing this in his spare time for extra cash so hopefully it should be reasonably priced. I have a spare front bumper so he can take his time to work something out and make a mould or what ever is needed. He can also do fiber glass work.

One option that's fairly subtle for the facelit cars. Still trying to decide to color match or leave black.

^^^I would definitely color match those, it'd make them pop much more.
As for the OP, I'm interested as well. I've been wanting a more aggressive lip on this car forever now, as it's the one part of its looks that I'm a little let-down by. But I'm not crazy about spending the crazy $$$ on the currently-available pieces out there.

Ok so if something similar to the ACS lip can be done people would be interested.
Thats good to know, ill wait to hear back from the guy. If the prices are decent im going to have him make me a rear diffuser similar to the VRS one

By no means do I wish to NOT encourage you to move further on your plans....I just didn't want to look like a jerk when the stuff comes out and you felt duped in some way. I've even got a vented side skirt version in the works as well as CF 'M' brake ducts to compliment the 'M' splitter lip. |

Something I made from 1" thick nylon/delrin type plastic. Attachment uses the two factory cover screw locations plus three smaller screws near the front. Design wise, they could be easily used as a master to make a mold for a fiberglass/cf version.

X2. Unless the cost is prohibitive, go for it. With the variety of personalities and tastes that are present on this one forum, you still have a market.

I never really thought of selling these, ive asked him to give me a price for additional copies once a mould has been produced.
Just for refrence he has quoted in AUD$ $1,800 for VRS style diffuser $1,500 for ACS style front lip Saying most of the cost is to get the first one done, ie labour test fit and to make a custom mould. So wait to see what the cost is once a mould has been made. Shipping for the front lip would be cheapish, id say around 100-200bucks. The splitter if offered in parts might be a better way to go. I think this weekend i might try and make a mock up diffuser out of card board to get an idea haha

Knock about $500 of the above estimates once a mold has been created.
