The shocks and the suspension bushings eventually wear out, but that is highly unlikely to happen during the warranty period. Bushings will most likely outlast the shocks.

The suspension components except the F&R shocks attach to a subframe--one at the front and one at the rear. They don't simply just bolt on to the chassiss as that would be too harsh and cause accelerated wear. So there are rubber bushings at the attachment points to absorb energy. There are also rubber bushings where the subframes attach to the chassis. The shocks attach directly to the chassis, but there are also rubber bushings/mounts at the interfaces. The rubber bushings wear out over time, but they will most likely last 100k+ miles.

I'm a bit worried about the longevity of our EDC shocks, but if they use the same 'magnetorheological' system GM uses, I think it has been proved. They should last at least 50K miles, which would be perfectly fine with me. Good day.
