Wheels that look very similar to HRE P40s?
Looking for wheels that look very similar to the HRE P40s. The VMR V710s and....what else? Reason I am asking is because of the price of the P40s. Much to my chagrin, I was quoted $1400 for 1 wheel from an HRE employee. I would like to find something less expensive but of a fine fine quality. I know you get what you pay for, but something in the $500 to $1000 range (for 1 wheel) would be easier to swallow.
Thanks! |

I ordered the VMR 710's myself. Not because I don't like the more expensive wheels...I just could not afford them after having my salary cut in half after exiting the banking industry.
I looked at the Breyton's also; http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resul...All&sort=Brand

Yeah the v710's are very similar. Good prices right now with free shipping on the wheel/tire packages. I came close to ordering a set myself (~$2200 for 19" m3 set with advan ad08 tires)

for the weight of the HRE's you mind as well just get the VMR's and spend the price of one HRE wheel. i never got the whole HRE thing there heavy, not a true forged wheel and nothing special other then the bling factor in my op. no offense to those that have them they do look great but thats about it. with the exception of there comp series and there not all that light and they don't look that great
if your not going for lightweight then the VMR or the Breyton GTS is the way to go. actually the Breyton GTS-R is pretty damn light and not that expensive. Tire Rack has them. if they made them in black i would get them. i will either get the VMR's or powder coat my oem's H

I just ordered a set of VMR710s from Eric at Pyspeed.com. They can custom powder coat them (1 yr warranty) to either solar black, texture black, diamond graphite, or satin bronze. I opted to get the Solar Black. They are a new sponsor on m3post.com, but their customer service is as good as any.
