Blackstone Oil Analysis Motul 300V 5W40

I just though I share my experience with my Z4 boys and gals.

Just got the report back from Blackstone yesterday, they claim the engine is wearing normally with this non BMW approved oil. I took the sample when I changed my oil last Sunday, and my plan is to run the oil for 7000 miles this time, and do another analysis.

My driving style is pretty harsh on the S54 motor, I do a couple 1~2 mile short trip to the mail boxes, boba drink place..etc on a daily basis, on top of freeway driving and weekend canyon runs.

Oil was actually ran for 5140 miles, not 4150 miles.

note: I'm surprise the silicon count is so low consider my GruppeM/K&N filter intake was installed 4000 miles ago, and it gets a good sand blast with RPI scoop installed. (virgin Motul 300V comes with a few PPM of silicon)

The flashpoint was pretty low - due to the fuel trace in the oil?

I'll say probably, I only drove the car for like 3 miles before I took sample.
