Is Fabspeed X-pipe for me?

I'm looking for something thats not that expensive doesn't necessarily have to give me performance gains but adds a little something to the sound. Lets the car let out its voice if you will.. i think the car is fast enough for me as it is... But the bark just isn't there for what i think an m3 should have.

does the xpipe have a louder sound to it because it gets rid of the secondaries...

Is the fabspeed x-pipe my best option. I want the product to be a no fuss sitiuation..simply BOLT ON. walk away.

let me know what everyone thinks be gentle i have been reading and searching for days. i get my jerez sedan on october 13th.

you guys both have exhaust and your reviews didn't answer any of my questions

i'm wondering if keeping the stock exahust and cats while just getting the xpipe will make it louder...if its just a bolt on situation with no problems...and if it will sound good?
If its the best option for what i'm looking for under a grand?

Under a grand you don't really have any options unless a used Remus Race comes up for sale.

it's not bolt-on unless your order the HFC's, which are expensive (you're talking north of 2 G's w/HFC's).

without HFC's, it should still add some volume and definitely some rasp (esp. if you go without the resonators). I think the sound would be great (a touch louder than stock until you really step on it, then it'll get loud), and you'd pick up a few ponies by deleting the resonators and secondary cats.

As much as I love my Fabspeed xpipe, you may just want to do a secondary cat delete instead for a fraction of the price. Not exactly bolt on but only a couple hundred as opposed to a couple thousand dollars.

so u can't just get an x-pipe u'd have to do some cutting and welding. i thought it was a separate peice...

i don't really like something that too raspy do you guys agree with endofanera? Would it bee to raspy.

i just want a less expensive louder stock sounding car. What would you guys do?

You definitely have to cut. Look at the pic that I posted of the stock section. The Fabspeed unit is 2 piece, but the stock primary and secondary cat as well as the xpipe and resonator are 1 whole piece. You will have to cut it to cut the Fabspeed X-Pipe in to the stock system. I think you are looking for more sound cheaper, your best bet is to wait for a used exhaust to come up and go that route.

Fabspeed is all over the place! Based off how well the intake is designed, it seems like major source of bolt-on power is the exhaust/ x-pipe w/HFC. Do it!

Thanks for confirming. A touch louder (raw-er?) than I expected. I'm looking forward to hearing it in person - I'll have the same setup installed by the end of the week : )

I don't hear any rasp in that video. When I hear "rasp", I think E46 M3 stock exhaust - which sounded like shit IMHO.

You don't need a reflash, but a reflash could yield additional power.

That is the only video I could find. Most of our videos are filmed on the dyno.

I personally do not think it is raspy with this setup.

You do not need to get the ECU reflashed in order to install our system. We only use the best German HJS cats that will not throw a CEL.

We just completed 20 new sets on Friday. I can get a nice fresh system out the door today for ya!
