Tips on removing/installing 02 sensors for x-pipe installation?

Fella's,

I've read and heard about how mishandling the 02 sensors when removing and installing them can cause a CEL light or blow a fuse from one shop had told me a customer did by accident. I've heard that one tip is to remove the battery power from the vehicle, then you can disconnect the plugs of the sensors to their cable harness.
Also, since those sensors are probebly going to be very tight from heat exhaption and cooling. Would it be wise to use a little WD-40 or penetrating fluid to loosen the threads up a bit so not to strip the anything?
What tips can you all suggest so to prevent a blown fuse or CEL light or damage to any sensors?

Cheers,

there's not too much to worry about. There's a connector you can unplug then just drop them down with the OEM exhaust. Loosen with a wrench, install in your new x-pipe and then when x-pipe is installed in car just re-plug in the sensors.

Man they are easy to remove. The car is relatively new so you shouldn't need any penetrating lube. I just removed them from the OEM pipes and let them hang then added a little anti-seize and threaded them back in the RPi system once I had everything bolted up.
