Turn Signal Click/Clack
Is there any way to make the turn signal click/clack, um, not so loud?
As my wife pointed out the other day, "this is why BMW drivers don't signal".

I laughed when I test drove a 135 a couple of weeks ago. It is loud! Sounds similar but not as loud and annoying as the one in my 09 Mini S. Must be the same knuckle head that designed the chimes for both cars. Im still trading it in on a 135 though. It will be easier to live with the BMW's foibles.

I almost wonder if BMW didn't make it louder in response to complaints that so many BMW drivers leave them on all the time. It's certainly the loudest one I've ever heard on a modern car.

I didn't want to be the one to start this thread but it's VERY loud for a blinker signal! It's by far the loudest of any car I've had (10+). When my girlfriend got in the car for the first time last week she said "that sounds like a horse walking..." I told her that's the extra horsepower.
I'm here all week folks... please tip your waitress.

I have just the opposite problem - mine isn't loud enough. I hope there's a solution to help all of us get to the right setting.

LOL. My issue is when I'm on the (BT) phone, especially for work, people always know I'm in my car -- I actually avoid using turn signals while on calls (where possible!)

Does the gong sound setting make the turn signal louder? I figured it did...but then I've never actually tried. I'd check but I'd have to walk out to the garage. I usually have the stereo on too loud to notice.
