Arrow Aftermarket X-Pipe CEL Poll

Very interested in getting a boost of power... but I've heard different reviews/stories of CEL of different brands of x-pipe w/ sport cats.

In the spirit of collecting good data, please reply with the following info ONLY IF YOU OWN/OWNED an aftermarket x-pipe w/ sport cats on your E9x M3:

1. X-pipe make/brand and model
2. # miles with x-pipe
3. CEL or No CEL?
4. Exact code/cause? (if known)
5. ECU tune or not?

I will update the numbers daily in a figure. Thanks!

I have to reflash my AA software to get rid of the CEL - been living with it for most of life of the x-pipe, no issues with it on.

Please also mention if you have a tune or not. No CEL with tune doesn't really count.

1)Fabspeed HFC w/ X-Pipe
2)2000 miles
3)CEL P0420, P0430

Increased emission, Powerchip stage 2 flash. It just happened to me today, and it was quite annoying to see the light. On the other hand, just my opinion and feel-of-butt, when the cel lids, the car's performance does reduce a bit, even if some people said they didn't feel anything.

Going to take care of the problem tomorrow with some modification and fabrication. )

CEL didn't happen before the tune, as I was only able to put about 800 miles on the car, but I knew something wasn't right, because it took a long while, I mean 200 miles to get all readiness tests ready (I have an OBDII scanner @ home). On a normal car, 50-70 miles is all it takes on a stock car by the way. After the Powerchip group-buy reflash gathering @ NJ couple months ago, I put another 1200 miles or so on the car, and the light didn't come on until now. I know for a fact it's not leaks nor loose sensors, because I have a drive on lift, and I would spot the leaks or loose parts whenever I get to clean the car's bottom. I will get some pictures tomorrow when the car is being worked on, and this shop I'm using is pretty good, they build pro-stock cars for various race teams.

Pardon my ignorance but what is a OBDII scanner? and what do you mean by readiness tests? Sorry i'm not that familiar with this kind of thing.
