Detailer's Domain: 911 Turbo X50 Cab, what a mess
Look what happens when you loan out your 911 Turbo Cab (X50)
I get a call from Marc Faraj at Town Motors Porsche and he tells me he did something bad..... I asked him what can be so bad? He said: I loaned out my 911 Turbo Cab to a buddy. I said: How bad he says you'll see...... When I received the car it was early morning the sun wasn't out yet, the next day when I was able to pull it out I couldn't believe my eyes! The car was shot! What was done - Exterior - Wheels were prepped with P21S Wheel Gel and cleaned up with various brushes - Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down - Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down - Wash down and rinsed - Door jambs were cleaned up - Clayed - Dried - Paint inspected and measured - Wheels protected with Swissvax Autobahn - Tires dressed with einszett Vinyl Rubber Care - 2 Step Paint correction (Meguiars M105 with an Uber Yellow, and Menzerna PO85RD with an Uber Blue) - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight - Einszett Glanz was used as a last step - Rubber and Plastics Treated - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Exhaust tips cleaned Interior Detail - All interior surfaces cleaned and protected, including glass, and all vinyl/plastic surfaces. - Carpets and upholstery vacuumed. Products used: (feel free to click the link below for more info) Exterior: Adam's Car Wash P21S Total Auto Wash (engine, presoak, wheel wells, tires) Uber Yellow Wash Sponge Swissvax Clay Bar and Optimum Instant Detail Spray and Gloss Enhancer Einszett Spray Wax Meguiars M105 Menzerna PO85RD einszett Glanz Wheels/Tires P21S Wheel Cleaner einszett Vinyl Rubber Care - Tires, wheel wells, engine Interior: einszett Interior Kit Tools: Infratech 5300 Flex 3403 Makita Metabo The Uber Foam Pads (5.5inch) Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels Uber Drying Towels Brushes Cam Spray Pressure Wash and Foam Canon Attachment Interior Before   Accumulated dust and grime on the rear seats  More dust /coffee stains etc   Greasy dressing on the center console    Under the rear seats   and more dust   the mess in the door pockets   Vac   After vaccuming I found this apple core under the passenger side seat  einszett Cockpit on the driver's side foot well   Removing the greasy dressing from the interior    einszett Leathercare on the seats and leather   Before rear seats  After rear seats  After interior - sums it all up a matte finish!  Exterior Before           Imperfections on the car prior to the wash and clay    Pre-soak, wheel cleaning, wheel well cleaning, engine cleaning, top cleaning, wash, clay, masking                   Measuring the paint  Exhaust tip before   Exhaust tip after   Before engine  After engine  Raggtop Protectant on the top  Car wash wiped down with Menzerna Top Inspection  einszett Vinyl Rubber Care on the tires and wheel wells  Compound and Polishing - Before - After 50/50 Masking   Before Fender    After Fender    Before hood shot (inspected with the Fenix TK11)  As you can see tons of road rash on the front clip  Before shot of the lights  Polishing out the rear taillights with the Flex  Before  50/50 door shot (after M105 on the left, right side untouched)   50/50 shot (left side finished with Menzerna PO85RD)      After  We use the G Techniq C4 Trim Restorer on various trim on the car, the windshield cowl and the bumperettes (we first cleaned it up with Menzerna Top Inspection)  Before shot of the bumperettes  Clean up with Top Inspection   After   Before Cowl  After Cowl     Cleaning up all the jambs with einszett Spray Wax  einszett Glanz for the last step  Glanz was applied with the PC 7424 XP with an Uber Black Pad  Removal   After                   (Permission was granted by the owner to post photos and write up) |
