Description
AFE BMW 135i / 335i / 535i Throttle Body Spacer 2007+

Silver Bullet throttle body spacers create turbulence in air flow at the point just prior entry into the engine. This turbulence helps the air/fuel charge burn completely.

OOoooooOOooo.... COME ON!!!!!!!!!!

This is a new version of the ol' turbo-fan insert in the fuel injection systems on old K-Jetronic ('80s)VWs. lol They can't be serious that this thing makes ANY Hp! Its more likely to generate turbulance in your wallet!

I thought that initially but AFE is typically a pretty reputable brand...might be something worth looking into.

I've seen this before and wondered if it is the infamous "snake oil" again.

One thing for sure, any movement of the charge pipe away from the throttle body would need the sound generator removing and the hole blanked off as it only "just" clears touching the inner wing already.

I am leaning toward a gimmick here. It also kind of reminds me of the Turbonator.

All we need now is someone to prove me wrong

Well no gains actualy, but there could be a use.
Quick question is the intake manifold resin? if it is then there is no need for this tb spacer. However, if it is made of metal heat soak becomes an issue and these tend to help with seperating the heat from the engine and charge piping. Sometimes they have heat sinks. I woldn't say the most effective way to keep IAT down but it would help if the intake manifold is metal and not resin (however most cars are coming with resin manis).
