Hey everyone

my car is almost two years now and I wax it three times a year. just wondering what waxes and what buffer is best recommended since doing it by hand just takes too long.

Machine Application ( Wax or Sealant)

The advantage of using a random orbital machine to apply these products is that it spreads a thin and even coating (ease of product removal is inversely proportional to the amount used) and requires much less effort than hand application; the downside is that it uses slightly more product.

Methodology- use a slightly damp, Black Lake County (or equivalent) 75 PPI foam pad at medium / low speed

I thought... the paint can only "take in" so much wax. It doesn't matter how much you "slabber onto" the painted surafces, the paint will only take in so much. The rest you just waste by buffing off. This is why in the directions they say to use it sparingly.

I saw some good info on the Detailed image website concerning buffers and recommended polishes. It is in the "ask a pro section". I had similar questions myself and I just ordered a Porter Cable 7424XP! This link should get you there:
