autocross run vid

There was someone recording people's runs for his website, at last weeks autocross, so I thought I'd share. It was my first event in a rwd car, and although I definitely need more seat time, it was a blast! RWD FTW!

Where do you run?

Whenever I run our courses are ridiculously tight compared to that.

I dont think I could ever do AutoX, I would get lost, lol.

Yeah, the course was pretty open, my top speed was around 50mph. I was surprised at the lack of tire squeal, although the following week I did an event at a site with fresh pavement, and the tires were squealing like a banshee! I'm running Kumho ecsta xs 245/40/17 all around, btw. Still trying to figure out what pressures to run.

My only autocross in my 128i was on the Performance Center track - the SC BMWCCA rents it for this once a year. Some cars get over 70mph. I only got a little over 60mph. It would have been nice to top out at 50mph, I could have stayed in 2nd gear.
