I miss Bangle
Is this what we have to look forward to.
Who in gods name approved this styling. I'm sure it handles incredible like most BMW's but man what an ugly car. That front end is Jack'afied.

Looking at their current direction, you have to wonder if maybe Bangle was actually holding these fools back for the last five years, and took a lot of heat for bad design anyway.
These last few models have been some of the worst looking BMWs ever produced IMO. |

I don't even like the Z4... They've pretty much all been shit IMHO. I think the new 7 is gross and the 5 GT is ridiculous. So it's a wagon without any of the added benefits of a wagon? hmm... great thinking.

Pardon my ignorance, is the 1 a Bangle design?

That 5-GT is fugly! The proportions are all just wrong on that car. I think the styling is hideous. That said... it is out selling the old e60 (five) wagon like crazy! Goes to show you - what customers want.
When I first saw the seven with the "Bangle butt", I thought THAT was ugly! But now I like them. I really like the lines of the current six, esp the butt. I am curious as to where BMW is going in their styling dept. Btw... I thought Bangle is still designing down in LagunaSee area (Northern, Italy). And I thought he is a consultant to Bmw still. Even though, von Hydonk is the Cheif styling guru now. Please someone correct me if I am wrong... bc I really do not follow this stuff that much. lol I just see Bangle and von Hydonk on German car shows from time to time. |

Yeah, for some reason that's what some of the public wants. Pretty much anything to stay away from calling something a station wagon. That would be too efficient and too sleek.

I don't think the public wants these at all. As far as I've heard they're rotting on the lots, and the X6 isn't exactly a hit either. |

If I need something along the lines of this, I'd buy a fking volvo wagon. If you need cargo space, you buy mainly for practiicality.
