changes for MY2011 -- M3 compared to 335is

Is this video true?

[u2b]<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/I7nnmPJXsIQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/I7nnmPJXsIQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>[/u2b]

Will the 335is get the LED front lights on this car? The 2011 M3s that people are now getting don't have the LED angel eyes from what I can see.....

Is the kidney grill the same? It looks bigger...

What about the interior differences? Those gauges are nice!

I do! That's why I'm asking

Just kind of odd that they would do all those updates on the 335s and not the M3s

This has been discussed to death before. All non-M E92s and E93s are getting a refresh that includes new headlights, front bumpers, taillights, and rear bumpers as part of the LCI update. The M3 E92 and E93 are only getting the new taillights.

cant improve a great white shark like the M3. its the core idea behind evolution in general.
M3 iz a monzta, it makes a sharp division between the BMWs and Motorsports.
If you have to ask the question which is better, then a 335is is a better choice for you.
When i drove this car, there was only one question. Where do i sign?

Strange why BMW didn't add the new headlights to the 2011 M3 refresh but oh well, that's why we have OSS.

I think the 335is is a bit closer to the M3 than the regular 335 is, but still far, far away.

In case some didn't know, I believe the MY2011 135 and 335 (N54 engines) are getting ONE turbocharger as opposed to the current two.

An M3 is an M3, all others are pretenders. Had a very mint 2005 330Ci with ZHP package...not an M. Bought my M, never looked back. When was the last time you heard an M3 owner say "wish I'd bought a 335".

The new engine with the single twin-scroll turbo is the N55. That's what will be in the MY2011 135 and 335.

The 335is does still use the N54, which has twin turbos.

I think the OP's picture shows the 335is, which has black mirrors.

no the headlights won't fit. the botton edge of the light is shaped different and as a result won't fit with the bumper. I like the LED corona rings but I'm still not sure about the LED "brow".

I agree with everyone here. It's still a nice car. But not an M.

The ONLY thing holding me back from getting an M3...is the fuel economy....

Yep. And the 535i, X5 35i, X6 35i, and (upcoming) X3 35i as well.

Along with the Z4 35i, Z4 35is and 740i.

The Z4 35i is the only odd one out - all the other 300hp cars get the N55, but for some reason it retains the N55. All the cars with >300hp get/keep the N54.

I've seen those new DRL's they look awesome, makes the aftermarket fall flat on it's face.

asked about it a couple weeks ago http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=382787

Illumination wise, I think the headlights are cool.

However, they are too big making the car look more feminine IMO. I'm gald they didn't change it for 2011.

Yep. I was just responding specifically to the vehicles that were mentioned...
