PDC retrofit?

Has anyone actually done it before? I tried searching and it seems like 1/2 the threads that pop up are more like if the retrofit is even possible.

Went over to my local dealership and they had a install kit with the p/n: 66200399633. Just looked it up but it seems like its for the normal 3 series excluding the M3...on top of the kit I also have to get a new bumper, some kinda control unit, and the sensors. Just wondering if I'm missing anything else? I would assumed that coding would be needed too but the guy said he didn't know anything beyond pulling up the part numbers for me

EDIT: this is all for the rear PDC, not the front

I'm surprised he even knew how to do that. My dealership tried convincing me, back in 08 when I ordered my M3, that it was some kind of twin turbo v8 and that the M3 will come with an HUD. hahah. But sorry, no info on the retrofit.

ahhhh dealers when I was looking at the M3 at the dealerships back then for the first time, the SA told me that the EDC could control the RIDE HEIGHT of the car, and that the 'carbon fiber roof' was actually a solar panel/ heat deflector thing during the summer

That's pretty much it, it will need retrofit coding afterwords in order to communicate with the iDrive properly.

PDC sensors will need painting to match the rear bumper.

check out bwrover on ebay. he sells the genuine parts and holds retrofit kits. If the dealer asks for anything above 1200 screw them. And you dont need a new bumper, as far as im concerned you can cut the holes for the sensor out. good luck
