HPFP update!
i dropped my car off at the dealership this morning for 1 limp mode and multiple rough starts & idle. FYI- this was the first time i've been to this dealership (recently moved to another side of town), and i kept my AR downpipes, BMS JB3, dpfix, catch can, golf tee mod, etc. on my car for service. got a call this afternoon, PUMA case approved to replace the HPFP with a new model (i think #402), i'll know more when i pick up the car on friday and see the paperwork.
conclusion- some dealers may not care about mods, or, they may not have the capability to "see" a JB3 on map 0 like Euro dealers do. |

Just guessing here but I know from my S/C'd Vette they will do warranty work(Magnuson Act) on the car that isnt directly related to the S/C. The HPFP issue is affecting many 135's and for that issue its not relavent to the failure. Not sure though as I said .

As far as leaving a JB3 in, the worst they can do is put it in the notes - for some that's enough to pull it before service. |

completely true. i was merely trying to point out that removing ALL of your mods may not be required. i read all over this forum that people are petrified of their dealers and remove everything just for oil changes, just throwing it out there

i, for one, will not take off any of my mods for future dealer visits. i'd be willing to bet more dealers either a) don't care if the mods don't directly affect the warranty claim, or b) are not taking the time to inspect the car for dp's, tune's, etc. |

another interesting bit of information i gathered this a.m.-
i had the car reflashed about 2 months ago for long cranks. that resolved the issue for the first 6 weeks or so. when my SA called me this afternoon, he said the software on my car that was reflashed recently has a recall out on it, and that i would be receiving a new version of the software. |
