128 performance exhaust is on.
Did the install on my 128 in about an hour. I won't go into detail as there is already a good DIY here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...rmance+exhaust.
Nice and growly at start-up and just slightly louder than stock until about 2,750 rpms, then noticeably deeper and a banshee shreak up to redline. Most importantly no drone at any rpms. Polished pipes are slightly bigger than stock and look nice and stealth. There are just two choices for us 128 owners-this and the Magnaflow. I figure BMW Perf. stuff, unlike most mods, will actually get me a few extra bucks if I sell the car or I can simply unclamp it and sell it separately. Next to the M3 front swaybar upgrade this mod puts a smile on my face every time I turn start the car. |

How did you go about determining where to cut off the OE exhaust? I understand there are no directions that come with the PE.

You just measure the pipe stub coming out of the new exhaust and transfer the measurement onto the existing pipe. Both units are identical in every dimension.

Thanks for the honorable mention! The exhaust looks great on your car, goes well with white. I am taking my car down to NC over the holiday week, so will get a feel for highway exhaust sounds and also how the new suspension works out. How did you go about installing the M3 sway bar? Did it just bolt in? How big is it vs. The M package 26.5mm?

Don't you have to get a new alignment with a new sway bar?
