Installed the performance intake and took some pics

The sound of it amazes me.
It`s exactly as good as the performance exhaust imo.
Since I have both I have to say the combination of both is just awesome.
But you only hear it when you rev over 3k.
Someone said that it sounds like some valve opens and then the intake comes alive.haha...that`s true.
imo it was worth every penny.

AnooooOH - that looks like a really nice mod. We (135i guys) are jealous of your Perf intake. I wish BMW would make something like this for the N54/N55 motors.

Maybe you can make a video so we can hear how good it sounds? Maybe when it gets warmer outside in the Spring time.

atm I get no traction on the streets.

the intake noise is very noticable.
it really sounds like a valve opens.it is a deep/loud tone and you def can hear it in the cabin even with the windows up.
imo it`s that much louder because of the bigger/new filter and because there is now a "sound generator" like there was in the old z4 3.0si which is something like an air duct directing to the cabin.
you can see it in the last pic or in this picture (not my car).

I just watched the video posted above but I have to say I hear no difference.
The reason is that you hear no difference in real when the car is stopped and you rev it.
But thats kind of normal for an intake.
You only hear a big difference when you drive your car and get over 3000rpm.
especially in the first two gears.
