Um..this looks to be exactly what ive been looking for!
So does this accessport install via the OBD? No fuckin with the ecu compartment? If so that's awesome, ive been looking for a flash tune without having a piggyback or messing with all the wiring in the ecu. This sounds great, looks like it has everything id need as well as a valet mode and a way to uninstall and wipe the ecu clean for warranty work as well Good stuff, lets keep this bumped eh? P.S. Where the hell can I get this from? |

Ummm...N54 has been out since 2008, and now they come to release this? They may as well have taken some more time and release the unit for N54 AND N55 engines!

lol no need to...we N55 guys have options now, and I still wouldn't consider any just yet...personally I couldn't do much with more power as I struggle to keep my wheels from spinning as it is, and my tires have over 70% tread left. Before considering any of these I would invest in an LSD, and my performance suspension is going on the car this week.
The reason for my comment was that it took them 3 years to develop a tuning system for the engine that has just been replaced. Granted, there are and will always be plenty of N54 cars on the streets, specially since the engine can be found in several models, but that was not the point of my post |

Well if this is truly what I think it is I dun care how long it took, this is the only real tune Id want for this car, no detailed installations or piggies, just a good reliable reversible flash with a handheld.

Its a flash, not a CAN tool. Just grab a CAN or BT tool n ur good to go. But sounds like this baby wont be causing any CEL's. If you're getting one with catless DP's ull need the DP fix from bms.

We have been working with these guys for a long time, and when they do something, its the best of the best. lets not forget that they will be releasing protuner software very soon as well that will allow us to fully custom tune the car. (we already have this ability with another software, but there are lots of limitations) Quote:

Thanks for the info Cicio, looking forward to see how this turns out. My biggest worry is voiding the warranty. I know it says that it won't, but Bimmers are not Subarus. They are a bit more computery, and we all know Germans are sneaky when it comes to people fiddling with their cars.
So in other words, Im kinda glad the Accessport came out for only the N54 first. You guys are now our guinea pigs |

Totally forgot about their GT-R tune, and those things have a touchy ECU. Even still, I want to see if this thing can pass the warranty test before Im convinced. Definitely looking forward to getting one if it does, and whenever Cobb discovers the N55. |
