Vortech used to recommend that their blowers not be used in temperatures below 25 degrees. Not sure if this has changed. It is more the oil temperature on cold start that is the issue. On my E36M3, I ran an oil pan heater that I plugged in on the coldest days to raise the oil temperature a bit for the cold start.

should have no problems. the colder your engine is/the blower is, the better your boost, in a sense. FI engines run hella beter in the cold than in the heat, hence the term "Heatsoak". should be fine.

this question was asked in post 68 of this thread and answered by Roman in post 79:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...=481685&page=4 the issue is with cold start-ups (i.e. when the S/C and its oil are cold), not with running in cold weather. bottom line is that there are many ESS owners running them in cold climates such as Canada, and presumably a large number of them have to start a cold engine every day. furthermore, ESS provides warranty coverage for any climate, so there should be no concerns here |
