Not bad, I like it.

However if you plan on trying to place at these shows the judges probably wanna see more originality than just a tii replica.

Good start dude, Im trying to get back into the game too. I've been out of it for 2 years while being overseas. I miss it, can't wait to start showing again. Once I get settled in next month in my new place, the part ordering will begin while I wait for my car to make the swim across the pond

Good luck this season! Maybe we'll cross paths at some point, I'll keep a look out for ya.

i understand just saying that at where the car sits right now. judges don't grade on what you "plan" on doing.

How much of this stuff you figure you'll get soon?

almost everything on my list will be completed before and during car show season. the only reason i am even showing it this yr is because i go to car shows with my car club as a team and i am not gonna leave them hanging. honestly i just love the shows so even if i win nothing this yr it wont matter to me because i just love it lol as we speak right now my car is at bmw getting the performance side skirts put on and shortly after i get it back i am going to be ordering the icarbon spoiler. then hopefully by mid march i will have the icarbon front lip. i will probably do performance stuff also i am just indecisive as to what i want to start with as far as performance haha off topic, but do we get a discount from icarbon at all for being part of 1addicts?

With all the supporting mods you'll have I'd hate to just use a map overlay to tune it.

Ehhh....not as huge a difference as some might think ("map overlay" since '08 50k+ miles no major issues)...

yeah but even though you have been fine, doesn't mean its always fine.

way more issues with pnp tunes than ecu flashes on these cars in general. not knocking jb or vishnu but for me, the reliability and customization of a true flash is way more appealing. I think just because JB has been marketed hard on these forums people automatically assume its the best out there, which isn't necessarily true.

Hmmm....don't know how true that first statement is...I seem to recall some having so pretty serious issues with the Dinan tune when it first came out....and most of the PROcede issues have been install related (improper connections, computer not configured properly, etc, etc...). I definitely do agree with our final statement though that it is not necessarily the best tune. I guess the reason I am loathe go with a flash is if I need to reflash I have to be regionally or locally in an area where I can get reflash/updated...with a PNP you dont have to worry about that.

well that is my understanding and the only reason dinan had issues (and i hate dinan FWIW so I'm not defending they) was because they were the 1st flash and had pushed the car too far beyond the safe limits of what the engine could handle (so i hear).

I have a local tuning company i work closely with so i understand your concern but with stuff like accessPORT and MYgenius, you can load and unload your tunes in a matter of minutes just like switching maps on a proceed or JB.

besides you shouldn't have to reflash your car anyway, I had one on my 328xi for 2 yrs and never once needed a reflash.

ah i see, well i got flashed with everything already on the car but again, with the accessport and mygenius the tuners can just send you a new file for you to upload onto the device and then put into the ecu.

OP is this why you are going for the Cobb AP? Why did you choose the mods you did for your "coming soon" list?

I just did a lot of reading on the mods themselves and i wanted to go that route. I want to get the accessport because i have faith in the upcoming stages that havent been released and on top of that it will make it easier when i get a protune to detune it if i ever have to bring the car to bmw for a warranty issue.

I had an accessport on my ralliart and i know a lot of other people who have it too and i have never had or heard a complaint about it. I just trust COBB and their customer service was always great when i had questions.

Theres no other logic behind the mods i chose other than i just like them and decided they are the ones i want lol
