***PIX HPF Intercooler & CP-E Exhaust***

I installed My HPF Intercooler and CP-E rear section last night. The exhaust sounds great and the car runs smoother then the BMW performence exhaust. Now as far as the HPF intercooler. It looks sick and there is a noticeable difference in power. The only thing I can say is HPF lied it is not easy to install. I didn't have to remove the bumber but there was so much shit to cut away. It fits perfect now though.

Pix below.

Looks sick!!! I was planning on getting the HPF Intercooler aswell. I'm on the fence about what exhaust to get. Currently have the BMW PE Exhaust, but i want something more mean.

I had the PE exhaust with CP-E catless Dps and Midpipes. Sounded horrible. Sould loud and raspy. I got the CP-E rear section with the stealth pipe. Its nice and deap but quiet. Sounds perfect. I can really hear the turbos now.

As mentioned before, the tips do look strange from the side profile...they need to be longer. Also, a black intercooler in my opinion would look better, or at the very least the black honeycomb grill should be installed back on...in my personal opinion a shiny intercooler that's not big enough to close up the entire center opening looks funny.

Didnt think there was so much cutting involved w/ the HPF FMIC but looks good. You may wanna double check the exhaust, first CP-E I've seen that looks like that, I could be wrong though

I've heard the guys at cp-e are stand up. Double check the install, if it still doesn't make sense, tell them what's up and hopefully they'll make it right.

+1000 there was a considerable amount of cutting that needed to be done to get that thing to fit for sure. Drove me nuts for two days cause they said it was supposed to go right in with minimal cutting...so I thought I was doing something wrong.

I love the non painted look w/out the honeycomb. I'll be doing the same thing. Just goes to show everybody has different taste. Looks awesome! Get some rims and she will be perfect in my book.

Looks good man, I think I'll remove the honeycomb grill too. Not sure if I should go with the bigger HPF FMIC or slightly smaller ER FMIC with full replacement IC piping. I might get the Performance Bumper later down the track and would think it would require even more cutting.. What are the power gains like? Is it noticeable in lower gears?

^^I have the performance bumper and YES it does require more cutting than with the stock sport bumper...

I've seen your post in the HPF thread. I know it's hard to say, but how much extra cutting is required?

Are you using the C-clip version? Are you pleased with the gains? In hindsight would you still buy the HPF again even though there's extra cutting involved?
